Yes. Many foster parents work full-time or part-time. As long as you can meet the child’s needs and ensure appropriate supervision, employment is not a barrier. Many people do not know this, but foster parents can apply for ELRC and receive assistance with paying for childcare.
Caring for a foster child should not be a financial burden. Foster parents receive a monthly reimbursement to help meet the child’s needs, and our agency provides ongoing guidance and support.
